NPR’s Next Gen Radio program is a series of week-long student training projects, designed to give students who are interested in radio and journalism the skills and opportunity to report and produce their own radio story. Mentorship
Next Generation Radio is a series of one-week student radio training projects co-sponsored by NPR member stations and several journalism and media organizations.
Building Bridges
The projects are designed to give students who are interested in radio and journalism an opportunity to report and produce their own radio and multimedia stories.
Training
Teaching sessions touch on several areas: recording techniques, writing, voice and on-air presentation, social media reporting and audio production.
Opportunities
We’ll be in several locations throughout 2016. We’re scheduled to be in Atlanta, Ga., Reno, Nev., Austin, Texas, St. Paul, Minn. and Sacramento, Calif. Follow @nextgenradio for updates and information.
